Massey Ferguson heritage collection finds new home

Several tractors from Massey Ferguson’s heritage collection are now on long-term loan with Peter Drinkwater in the Cotswolds.

This is one for MF tractor enthusiasts. Massey Ferguson has announced that a number of tractors from its heritage collection are now on long-term loan with Peter Drinkwater in the Cotswolds. The tractors had previously been on display with Mike Thorne at the Coldridge Collection in Devon and include very low hour MF 35 and 135 tractors, the last ever prototype built at Banner Lane an MF 4370 and the well-known tractor puller ‘The Nipper’. The new owners of Mike Thorne’s museum, the Dunsfold Collection, were unable to keep the tractors, so a new home was sought.
“We are thrilled to be working with Peter Drinkwater,” said Jerome Aubrion MF’s vice president, global marketing. “The Drinkwater family has been using Ferguson and MF machines on their farm for over 75 years and now have a fantastic collection running into hundreds of tractors and implements, it was the natural place for us to home some of our cherished heritage collection”.
The tractors will be displayed along with a wide range of Ferguson and Massey Ferguson machines and literature at Peter Drinkwater’s museum at Ebrington near Chipping Campden. These are part of a much larger collection owned by Agco, while a large permanent display is part of the Agrispace visitor centre in Beauvais, and several tractors are exhibited at the Coventry Transport Museum.
