BKT launches 'next-generation' tyre

Ridemax FL 615 in size VF 900/65 R 38 is BKT’s next-generation tyre specifically engineered for the heaviest agricultural transport applications, including slurry tankers and grain carts, according to the company. This flotation tyre features a radial construction reinforced with heavy-duty steel belts. One of its key advantages is its ability to ensure an even load distribution across the tyre footprint, minimising soil stress, increasing puncture resistance, and enhancing overall durability.
“Operating with larger footprints and lower inflation pressures allows heavy equipment to distribute loads more evenly, helping preserve soil structure even during the most demanding field operations,” according to  Willem-Jan Straatman, product manager, agricultural tyres at BKT. “Ridemax FL 615 is the new VF tire designed by BKT to carry more than 10 tonnes per tyre at just one bar in the field at speeds of up to 25km/h. This exceptionally low operating pressure significantly reduces ground pressure, helping maintain optimal soil conditions and supporting healthy crop development after slurry application or during the critical post-harvest period”.

The steel-belt construction also delivers the exceptional lateral stability required for high-centre-of-gravity implements such as slurry tankers and grain carts, ensuring safe and reliable performance even at inflation pressures as low as 0.6 bar. However, Ridemax FL 615 extends its performance beyond the field. When it comes to road transport, it can actually carry up to 14t at speeds of 65km/h or up to 18t at 40km/h, combining field protection with outstanding transport efficiency.
