A boost for the best

Fendt introduced the Fendt 700 Vario Gen7 series in 2022 BUT RECENTLY ITS FOUR models have been given a power boost, WITH THE LAUNCH OF THE FENDT 700 VARIO GEN7. rated up to 60km/h. The series gets our ‘From the Cab’ focus this month

Previously, Fendt DynamicPerformance – described by the company as an added power concept – was only available for the top model Fendt 728 Vario. Now it has been expanded to all models in the series, which means it automatically gives an additional 20hp depending on what auxiliary implements are demanding power (PTO, fans, air conditioning, compressed air, etc.). The release of additional power is not coupled with set operating conditions, in contrast to conventional solutions, according to Fendt.

The four models, Fendt 720, 722, 724 and 726 Vario, now cover the power range from 203hp to 263hp (149-193 kW).

Comprehensive safety concept

Standard tractors run about 50 per cent of operating hours on the road or in transport. Thanks to the comprehensive chassis, safety concept and the Fendt Reaction steering which are already familiar from the Fendt 700 Vario Gen7, it makes the series a transport specialist, Fendt claims. This includes the Fendt iD low-speed concept, additional braking safety via a newly developed wear-free, hydraulic auxiliary brake, the Trailer Brake Assistant (TBA) and the automatic parking brake. In the 60km/hr fast-mode versions from Fendt 724 Vario Gen7.1, the Fendt Stability Control significantly reduces rolling motions and rounds out the package. Correctly adjusted, fully integrated tyre pressure regulation system reduces fuel consumption on the road. The Fendt 700 Vario Gen7.1 series is built for heavy loads with a payload of up to 6.2t and a permissible overall weight of 15t. This means that mounted implements or trailers with a drawbar load of up to 4t are transported safely and legally. The raised parking position of the lower link prevents collisions with the drawbar trailed implements and protects the PTO and lower link. The familiar overall suspension concept ensures a comfortable and safe ride

Front loader – tailor-made

Factors such as a continuous view, a particularly small turning radius, the tension-free powerful four-wheel drive, the simple control via the 3L-Joystick and a high axle load of the front axle are crucial for productive front loader use. The Fendt Active superimposed steering system halves the required steering rotations. Used with Fendt VarioDrive and independent four-wheel drive, the tractor also achieves higher pushing power in front-loader operation, even in curves, because the four-wheel drive tensions of traditional drives are a thing of the past. Even with a full bucket, the tractor leaves no black marks. All of these points together are united in the Fendt 700 Vario, so it is optimally equipped for front loader use.
Depending on operation, the demands on a front loader differ, so Fendt continues to offer both options of the new generation of the Fendt Cargo 6.100 and the Fendt Cargo 6.100 Profi front loader, developed specially for this series. Both models achieve an overload height of 4.85m regardless of tyre type. Operations with conventional demands can opt for the standard front loader Fendt Cargo 6.100.

In the independent PowerMix test by the German Agricultural Society (DLG), at a speed of 40km/h, the Fendt 724 Vario Gen7.1 reached a top score of 321g/kWh (+ 33.8g/kWh AdBlue). This value lies 17 per cent below the consumption of its predecessor, the Fendt 724 Vario Gen6.
