Massey Ferguson will showcase its new tractor models at the 2017 National Ploughing Championships.
The Massey Ferguson (MF) 5700 Global, which has two versions available – 100hp and 110hp – will feature in the 80-130hp tractor category. Designed to appeal to smaller-to-medium-sized livestock, dairy and mixed farms, the tractor specifications include a 12x12 gearbox and a 4.4L, four-cylinder AGCO Power engine.
The MF TH 6030 telehandler, which handles silage, muck, bales, fertiliser bags, moves feed and cleans out stock housing, also has an array of implements available including a bale spike, bale-squeeze handler, pallet fork and bucket.
With three steering modes and manoeuvrability in tight corners, the TL 6030 – one of four models in the MF telehandler line-up – provides a lift height of 6.0m, 3,000kg lift capacity, hydrostatic transmission and oil flow of 100L/min. Also available for a close-up look, is the new MF FL Loader with 20 variations, which means it can fit MF tractors ranging from 70hp, right up to 400hp. They can be specified with either linear or parallel linkage and there is a wide range of additional options and accessories. With lift capacities ranging from 1,540kg to 3,270kg and 30 per cent improved visibility, the new FL loaders are 50 per cent more durable and have a lift height range of 3.55m to 4.96m. Several ranges of tractors in the MF portfolio have an optional Visioline roof providing outstanding upward visibility.
MF continues to support the Irish farming community by playing a large part on the Macra na Fierme stand this year. As Platinum sponsor of Macra na Fierme, MF is working alongside young farmers to promote farm safety with machinery safety competitions and working demonstrations in the Macra arena with a chance to win a coveted prize this year.
Other attractions will include a chance to win a famous MF Croke Park jersey, together with the announcement about the new MF ambassador for Ireland and collaboration with a chosen charity.
